Details
Contract Coverage Period:
Denotes
the period which services are provided. Standard coverage dates run from
April 1st through October 31st.
Contract
Approval:
Artistic Outdoor Services, Inc. will not schedule or perform any
maintenance projects without a contract, signed by an authorized agent
or property manager.
Payment
Terms:
Upon signed contract approval the client accepts the contract and agrees
to make payments in full by the due date on all billings. Finance
charges of 1.5% will be assessed on all past due balances.
Weekly
Cutting:
Weekly lawn maintenance begins in April and continues through October.
The standard number of cuts per season is 28. Lawn maintenance services
are performed and completed the same day each week. Due to changing
weather conditions, weekly cutting schedules may fluctuate. Weekly

Cutting
of all designated turf areas. Equipment blades will be set a height
deemed appropriate for each individual account. Standard mowing heights
range between 21/2"
to 31/2".

Sidewalks
and curb lines are edged every other week.

Buildings
or objects adjacent to or surrounded by turf areas are string trimmed
each week.

Scheduled
Fertilization Program:
Applications 1-5: Liquid or granular fertilizing applications 1-5 are
applied in four to six week intervals. Each application is designed to
control specific changes in your turf as the season progresses.

Application
#1 - Pre-Emergence Crabgrass Control - Applied in early spring to
prevent and control the presence of crabgrass and broadleaf weeds.
Promotes the spring green up of turf areas.

#2 - Spring Dandelion, Broadleaf Weed Control - Applied in late spring
to prevent and control the presence of dandelions and broadleaf weeds.

#3 - Summer Balanced Fertilizer Weed Control - Slow release fertilizer
applied at the beginning of summer to prevent burning and weeds.

#4 - Mid Summer Balanced Fertilizer Weed Control - Applied in late
summer to prevent and control broadleaf weeds.

Application
#5 - Fall Balanced Fertilizer Weed Control - Applied in late fall. High
nitrogen content application for dormant grasses. This fertilizer also
promotes winter hardiness and enable the grass to recover quickly in the
spring.

Spring
Core Aeration:
Core aeration is performed in early spring prior to any fertilizer
applications. Specialized
equipment creates random divots throughout the lawn area. The purpose of this technique is to allow water and
fertilizer nutrients to reach the lawn root system.
Tree
& Shrub – Deep Care Root Feeding:
Deep root feeding is performed
in early spring (April) and in early fall (September).
Balanced fertilizer nutrient is injected below ground into the
root zone. Direct
fertilizer injection encourages trees and shrubs to absorb nutrients
through the root. This
technique enhances plant growth and color.
Spot
Weed Control:
Liquid weed killer applied when necessary, to problem areas where weed
growth is prominent.
Monthly
Weeding:
Bed maintenance is offered April through October. Landscape beds are
closely monitored for any weeds which are removed on a monthly basis.
Upon request weeding is available on a weekly and biweekly basis.
Spring
Clean Up:
Spring clean ups commence when weather conditions are favorable. Spring
Clean up services include the following...

Debris
is removed from all lawn and bed areas.

Driveway,
walkway, bed and step areas are swept and/or blown clean.

Site
debris is removed from property and disposed of properly.

leaves and debris.

Irrigation
System - Spring Start Up:
Sprinkling system start up services generally commence in late April or
mid May, depending on weather conditions. Prices quoted for sprinkler

Irrigation
System - Fall Winterization:
Winterization services are offered in late September through October.
These scheduled times may vary depending on weather conditions and
ground temperatures. It is recommended that irrigation systems be
winterized before temperatures reach 0' Celsius / 32' Fahrenheit. Prices
quoted for winterizations do not include parts and labor for repairs.

Irrigation
Repair Rate:
The irrigation or sprinkling system repair rate is invoiced on a per man
/ per hour basis. Necessary parts for repairs are also billed at an
additional cost.
Shrub
Trimming:
Shrub trimming is performed one to two times a season as deemed
necessary. This service includes shrub trimming, clean up and disposal
of debris.
Mulch
& Shredded Bark Installation:
Mulch and bark installation can give
your beds and tree rings an instant aesthetic boost. Mulch is usually
installed in April following a spring clean up or other bed
preparations.
Annual
Flower Installation:
Flower installation begins in mid June. Installation includes the
